Second Edition (barbershop quartet) - Somewhere Over the Rainbow
I love barbershop quartets, and this is one of the best. Second Edition was the Barbershop Harmony Society’s international champion of 1989.
The Barbershop Harmony Society, or BHS (whose national headquarters is now across the street from my old high school), was originally called the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, or SPEBSQSA. This is actually an acronym, not an initialism, and is pronounced “spebsqua.”
I’ve always wanted to start a barbershop quartet. All I need is a lead, tenor, and bass. Who’s with me?
